has adapted their manufacturing to assist with the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes the production of face masks for various industries across the nation. Recognizing the growing need for non-medical face masks, ACME Sample immediately reached out to local textile and trim partners to source the required materials. Together with our partners, we converted a significant portion of our cutting and sewing capacity, allowing us to ramp up production within a few weeks to help with the global shortage of personal protective equipment and meet the increased need in the market.
Vice President of Manufacturing, Rick Rubel, stated about the mask production, “In providing the highest quality fabric sampling to the furniture industry we are equipped with some of the finest cutting and sewing technology available. That, coupled with the very talented skill level of our associates, allowed us to engineer the product and then move aggressively to re-align our manufacturing lines, producing several styles of sewn fabric face masks. All of our manufacturing associates clearly recognized the critical nature of this product and were driven to complete the transformation to masks within 2 weeks. We are currently in mass production and delivering to various sites across the country.”
ACME Sample has already been able to provide masks to hospice care facilities, pharmacies, and even a company charged with safely extracting passengers from stranded cruise ships. Olivia Marx, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, stated,
